EAT SMART : HOW TO SAVE MONEY AND GET BENEFITS WHILE YOU EAT OUT

Posted on Posted in TRICKS

Is there anyone out there who don’t wants to their money, please give extra to me 😛 well here is a list of some amazing tricks that will help you eat smart and save money while you enjoy a special service. these DIY hacks will make your dining experience even more amazing with just little efforts.

CHECK RECEIPTS FOR SURVEYS

How often do you throw away your receipts along with the tray and leftover food wrappers? I used to do this all the time! Now I always make sure to take a peek at the bottom of the receipt before tossing. Sometimes there is a survey offer that will give you a free soda, burger, or a Buy One Get One deal just for taking 5 minutes to answer a few questions.

The only catch is each coupon code you are given does come with an expiration date, so it may or may not be worth it depending on how often you eat at that particular chain.

SPLIT YOUR FRIES

One can never finish an entire box of fries {nor should I with all those fat-inducing calories found in there!} However, if you’re eating with your family, spouse, or significant other, one of you should order the large value meal and then equally split the fries. The large box of fries is usually more than enough, and it’s also much cheaper than everyone getting their own {smaller} meal.

You also might want to consider ordering just a sandwich and fries separately with a water, rather than the whole value meal.

DON’T WASTE EXTRAS

If you have ketchup or sauce packets leftover from your meal, don’t throw them away. These are the perfect size to throw in work lunches, or to extend the life of your condiments at home. I do the same thing with napkins and keep them in glove compartment of my car for emergency spills. And if we have a large enough collection in the car, I’ll add them to our pile of paper napkins at home. I know them may be awkward but who cares it’s your money.

However, this doesn’t mean you “take extra” just for the purpose of bringing them home.

GET CREATIVE WITH SANDWICH ORDERS

Just because a specialty sandwich is on the menu, doesn’t mean you have to order it that way. Here are just a few ideas to create your own “sandwich hacks” that save money over big value meals:

  • At Subway, split a footlong sub meal rather than buying two 6-inch ones.
  • At McDonalds, order a McDouble without ketchup and mustard, and ask if they can put on some cheese and Mac sauce. This is a poor-man’s Big Mac, but still tastes the same.
  • At Arby’s, order two junior roast beef sandwiches rather than a regular classic. You’ll get the same amount of meat for less!

Some restaurants may charge you extra for items like cheese and chicken, but other condiments are generally interchangeable. The idea is to look for dollar menu items that can be substituted for a larger 200rs-250rs specialty sandwich.

USE COUPONS

Restaurant coupons are plentiful enough — you just have to know where to look. Check your Sunday paper, comb through ads that look like junk in your mailbox, and sign up for your favorite fast food email lists for coupons each month and free stuff around your birthday. You can even sign up for a couponzguru or zomato for more savings.\\

SAVE

CUSTOMIZE YOUR FOOD TO ENSURE FRESHNESS

Any customization, even just extra pickles, will ensure that your sandwich is fresh. Otherwise, you’re taking the gamble that your food is hours old. This hack will probably be useful at many other fast food restaurants but SOME JOINTS ensure the policy of “Have It Your Way” policy (although they just changed it to “Be Your Way”).

DO IT YOUR WAY

USE CREDIT CARDS

When used properly, credit cards can help you save money on purchases. Several companies now offer cash back when you use their cards at restaurants. For example, the ICICI and SBI cards both have deals in the second quarter where customers receive 5% cash back on restaurant spending. Meanwhile, the SMARTCITY Preferred card earns double points at restaurants all year long. All three cards have no annual fee.

Potentially leading to even greater savings, some cards allow you to redeem cash back rewards for discounted restaurant gift cards.

CHECK COMPANY WEBSITES

Popular websites like COUPONZGURU, zomato, and BURPP help people find deals every day, but joining a restaurant’s email list or rewards club may also save you money. In fact, many restaurants will routinely send out coupons or birthday freebies via email if you take the time to sign up. For example, Starbucks offers a free drink or treat on your birthday.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR STUDENT DISCOUNT

When you’re a student it’s a status you should milk as often as possible, so don’t be afraid to whip out that student ID. Loads of big chains such as ADVENTURE ISLAND, MAC’D and BASKIN ROBBINS, Pizza Hut and Pizza Express offer a student discount. Many local restaurants will give you a discount too. Even if somewhere doesn’t advertise a discount, do ask, it doesn’t mean they won’t give you one!

DISCOUNT BY STUD

REVIEWS

In theory, outlets should be dying to get university trade, so if you can talk the talk about the readership of your paper both online and in print you could often find yourself in for a free meal. Of course this will take a little work in order to set things up and then write a review, but worth it for the freebies we reckon.

Create an account over zomato, level up and trust the trick. Now, next time you go to a restrau or bar tell them you are a level 11 foodie and u are there for reviw (after some query) they may provide you some special discounts and services.

DOWNGRADE YOUR DRINK

Restaurants make a ton of money on drinks. It doesn’t matter if you buy an alcoholic beverage, a soda or even tea. No matter what you order, you’re getting ripped off. Instead of ordering a drink, you can usually get a glass of water for free. If you just can’t stand drinking water with your meal, downgrade from an alcoholic drink to just a regular soda or tea and you’ll still save quite a bit of money.
